This is a list of quotes from the game Fortune Street. Note: The characters from the Mario and Dragon Quest series are separated through a division. Additionally, the quotes are separated and provided through each board that a character is in. For many years now, the Itadaki Street series of Monopoly-style video games have been stuck in Japan, and whilst there were murmurs of the Nintendo DS iteration, featuring Mario and characters from Square Enix’s Dragon Quest universe, it has taken until now for it to breach the confines of its homeland and spread its wings to pastures new, this time on Wii, and under the new name of Boom.

On occasion at various conventions, the Runaway Guys have their own panel, called Thrown Controllers, essentially a game show inspired. In its debut at PAX East 2012, two teams took turns answering questions and playing video game challenges, either against each other, solo, or against members of the audience. At PAX Prime 2012, they the game into a single-person quiz show with challenges, similar to the initial concept except for one person at a time, and this is how it has been done since. Many prizes are awarded at these panels, ranging from character pins from Fangamer to (as a grand prize) an actual video game console, such as a or a.In 2018, they started the now-annual charity marathon, The Runaway Guys Colosseum, raising money for Direct Relief and featuring many of their friends and fellow LPers., with 10 competitors featuring, ALoyalGamer,. Note Possibly also lost.Their Let's Play videos have provided examples of:. Main Collabs.General:.: Jon plays more like a.: Most are available. SUCK IT!. Everyone does this when Chugga makes it to the top of the flagpole in 3D World's Rolling Ride Run with one second left.: 'GAAAAAAAAAAME!' .: Every regular Let's Play that they've completed so far has an example of this, whether subtle or blatant.: Anyone who knows Spanish names will understand what means in the lets play.: In a sense. Every video ends with stats related to the current project and links to solo channels, with music playing over it. They often use music from the game they're playing.
But ever since Fortune Street, they just as often use Chugga has even jokingly called it their theme song.: Tim. If something bad is going to happen to someone, it's probably going to be him.
So much so that the others seem kind of protective of him, and avoid picking on him whilst bickering amongst themselves. What's strange about this is that Tim has, in the past, proven himself MORE than a capable gamer with challenges like the swordless or 3-heart runs of The Legend of Zelda. An excellent example of this is part one of Mystery Land in the Mario Party 2 LP. He actually manages to get lucky enough to have more coins than anyone else.
And then, due to and Chance Time,. In the very last Mario Party video, he finished the Pot o' Skills with 2 coins. The Pot o' Skills has no stars and is determined completely by coins. All three have had their moments such as Jon having horrible luck in Mario Party and Chugga repeatedly dying in Sonic Adventure and Super Mario Bros.
3.: Where Jon is from, and where the latter half of Subspace Emissary was recorded.:. Just about everyone sings whenever one of them says to go left. Chugga will often go 'Might as welllll JUMP!' . Jon's famous 'GAAAAAAAAME!'
. ' WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?' . '. 'Tell me more.'
(Usually when Chugga's in the middle of making a stupid guess in Wheel of Fortune). According to Chugga, Josh's new catchphrase is 'Are you serious?' . '.
Chugga likes saying 'balls to the wall' a lot. ' I GOT COMBO-ED!!!'
. In Subspace, 'GAME!' Is sometimes replaced by 'CAMERA!' .
Whenever someone makes a reference or shout out, Jon will usually say, 'Thanks/Thank you (whatever is being referenced here).' Examples include 'Thanks.' And 'Thank you, Yu-Gi-Oh!' . D'OH, I MISSED!.
Chugga: ONE!.: Often in response to a pun made by one of the Guys, mostly Chugga.:. Confused as to who's who? Chugga is red, Jon is blue, and Tim is green. Save for, where, due to player order, this gets messed up (Chugga is blue, Jon is green, and Tim is red), but since they're using their own Miis it's still simple to tell who is who. And while Chugga is most often player 1, sometimes it will be Tim because the player color is green, in the case of or.
Guest stars are often yellow, sometimes purple. This is emphasized further in New Super Mario Bros.
Wii, in which Josh's name is highlighted in black rather than the other Guys' white. Colors go all over the spectrum for tournaments, unique to each participant.: The Guys have acknowledged at least once that a video's view count is roughly inversely proportional to how much fun they actually had playing the game, which points to their audience showing more favoritism to projects which involve them being assholes to each other. Specifically, they used Rayman Legends as an example, since they all agree that they liked the project and had a lot of fun playing it together, but it's one of their least watched series.: During Colosseum, the lamp is treated as being just as much a part of the group as anyone else, and even gets its own section of the sitcom opening parody, with said section being a little more.: The first Thrown Controllers Panel was an and seen back at as an. They still did their next one instead of getting discouraged and has done many more since.: In a PAX Prime 2013 wrap-up video (featuring but not created by Jon, Chugga, and Tim), at one point Chugga makes a very bad, prompting to call for applause from the audience. Later, Jon makes a comment about his pedometer, and Chugga responds by pronouncing it 'paedo-meter'.
The audience is silent and Dodger says, ' Don't applaud for that one.' .:. Mixed with. Mario Party had Chugga being calmer and Jon more energetic, leading to them being very similar to one another aside from their ongoing rivalry, and Tim barely talking whatsoever. In New Super Mario Bros.
Wii, Chugga's goofiness was turned while Jon embraced his inner, leading to their rivalry turning practically bloodthirsty (and Tim still barely talked). After that, Chugga relented to his more characteristic sense of humour; Jon, while still a, only did so when provoked or when it would be perfectly timed rather than practically every second; and Tim, while still the quietest, has become more talkative and even a to rival Jon.
Chugga being was dropped after New Super Mario Bros. Wii, though it does still get referenced during Mario Party games. Tim being the one left in the dust has also begun to get subverted, or at least has fewer instances.
In their first few Let's Plays, they all called each other by their channel names, but eventually became close enough friends that they're on a first name basis (with Tim still calling Emile Chugga on occasion); hearing the change can be pretty drastic if you binge their videos. See below.: Many of their LP recordings fall into this, since they live so far apart and can't exactly meet up every day.: A distressingly common problem for Chugga, who is prone to unobservancy and impatience, causing him to miss details that make it significantly easier to progress had he paid attention. Also applies to Tim and Jon every so often (usually in Mario Party) but not quite to the same extent.: Over time, they've been calling each other by first names and not their usernames, more and more. (Though Jon and a few of the guests have their first names in their usernames.).: Chugga has revealed that this is enough to disqualify a game from being played by the Guys. Being the prime example — in the first episode of his solo LP of the game, Chugga says that they were considering it for a collab project, but the deciding factor (apart from being limited to two players) was that the inability to screw each other over made for a much less entertaining LP.: They showed impressive amounts of genre savviness in their later playthroughs. In one board in Mario Party 3, Tim had the means to reach the next star, but since he had the star lead and the star was in a difficult to reach spot, he refrained from using the magic lamp and prevented the rest from getting the next stars. He won the board.
However, this trope was taken in Mario Party 4, where they frequently invoked and called each other out when it worked.: Just as bad as in Chugga's solo videos. To Tim and Jon's eternal pain. When NCS makes one at the end of Episode 6 ( ),. Jon: Swear to god, gonna kill you!.:. In, Chugga plays as Donkey Kong, who's a monkey. He has the least moments of them all. In, is Blue Toad, but is a.: There's a lot of this kind of talk, unsurprising considering that both Chugga and NCS are part of the group.:.
The various invitational tournaments (streamed on Jon's channel) feature a barrage of guest players from to. The Runaway Guys Colosseum, a yearly charity livestream that's also hosted on Jon's Twitch channel.
Originally launched in 2018, this weekend long event features the likes of, (along with his wife Mal, AKA MalMakes), and, along with musicals guests like Adrisaurus, FamilyJules, and ToxicxEternity. The stream relies mainly on video game challenges, musical performances, and other miscellaneous activities to raise money for the medical relief charity, Direct Relief. Lasting about 3-4 days a year and featuring an impressive cast of participants, Colosseum is, to date, one of the largest collaborative events ever hosted by the channel.: Jon's characterization of Captain Olimar in.: Jon's reaction of 'Move faster, Pokey!' Is referenced in Mario Party.
claims that he's been hearing it 'all his life' when Chugga starts singing, '.:. Whenever the three or otherwise cause a total failure, one of them always responds with 'Good job, team!' Notable in.: It's nearly impossible to find even a single episode that doesn't have any one of the guys yelling. in 'Mario Party 3 - Waluigi's Island Part 5,' whose description reads: 'I'd give you guys a volume warning for this episode, but let's be honest, they're usually needed for all TRG episodes.'
.: When it comes to Mario Party videos (from the first two games), Luigi gets the least screen time, since he doesn't have an amusing voice clip and isn't considered to be a hard opponent.:. 'To the left, to the left, to the left.'
Is started by anything saying to go left. 'Might as wellllll JUMP!'
Is started by anything saying to jump. 'Doh, I missed!' Is started by missing something. 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!'
Is started by Chugga doing anything Jon finds either sketchy, or.: When 3 play a multiplayer game where you can, this was bound to happen. Jon:!?.
At the most, they usually resort to 'Damn it!' But even Tim squeezes an actual F-Strike when he loses an intense game of Hot Rope Jump in Mario Party 2. The Mario Party 6 series was actually censored for the most part; however, when Emile reveals that Jon is about to play a luck-based Duel mini-game against Boo, Jon's reaction ('Aw, for fuck's sake!' ) is left uncensored.: Stephen's vlog has shown he would be the player four on two projects before the projects were posted.: Lucahjin is absent during the second Colosseum.: Many. Chugga's bad puns, Jon being an asshole, Press L to P (In The Bathroom!).
There are also some longer-range ones that only show up occasionally, such as Jon claiming a character is 'dead' and acting shocked. Chugga's tendencies (especially concerning how few movies he's seen) tend to crop up regularly in every LP. The second video of every Mario LP features Chugga parodying the opening of a famous cartoon.
' shows up in some capacity during the Mario LPs, around the final boss fight. Jon: 'You are a DICK!'
. It seems that there's some vitriol toward, with Chugga openly saying that they suck and Tim criticizing them for their tendency to not.: Nearly all of their Let's Plays has a top 10 list of funny moments created by channel (bonus points for taking a TRG joke name as their username)!
They can all be found.: They have several of those. See.: Chugga and Jon seem to have this relationship.: Immediately after Jon calls himself in Mario Party, a portion of commentary was removed due to personal reasons. A small section of commentary in Episode 3 of New Super Mario Bros. During this segment, an explanation is displayed on the video: they discussed some of their future projects, and didn't want to spoil anyone. Note Due to them mentioning their characters being 'Small, big, small, big,' it can be assumed they were discussing, a project that hadn't been revealed at the time. A portion of the commentary was excised from Episode 24 of New Super Mario Bros.
This time, the viewers suspect that Jon was taking potshots at religion, due to the silence being immediately preceded by something along the lines of 'Fire from the heavens!' And the text 'There are some things you just don't say on the Internet' being imposed on the screen.
On part 4 of Dokapon Kingdom Battle Royale, a part of commentary was cut out and it said on the screen, 'No need to worry about what was said here'. No one knows what it said, but it was probably something offensive, given Jon's reaction. Referenced in Part 21 of Rayman Legends as part of a reference to.: Jon has this mindset when playing Pikmin as opposed to Chugga's mentality.
